My family watched the gymnastics last night. My little girl was jumping on and off the couch and doing "ta-dah" moves with her arms. I get really nervous watching the athletes because I'm afraid they're going to make a mistake. It's incredible that so many of them perform perfectly.

I'm the same way! I'm always worried they're going to get hurt!
I like watching gymnastics, but I am a little disturbed to read allegations that some the coaches would force the girls to starve and keep their weight down. I think it just involved a couple of coaches.

Brian, are you referring to the luge? Is that the thing where the people slide down on their backs and a little seat? That looks incredible, super exciting and dangerous.

The summer games lack the speed and danger of the winter games. 100 MPH just 2 inches from the ice is adrenaline. Water polo - not so much.
Plus curling is my game. Those folks know what's up. I was totally fixated when I first noticed curling during the '02 winter games.

Yeah, the luge is pretty cool to watch but I don't think I have the intestinal fortitude to actually try it.
